On August 29, 59 Rohingya along with six dead bodies were found on a boat floating near Gayatgyi Island , Bogalay Township, Irrawaddy Division.
When Coast Guard heard that a boat with a broken engine that had been floating for several days at the island, and then they are being arrested by Coast Guard according to the RFA Burmese news.
A resident, who did not want to be named for security reasons, told RFA that the six Rohingya may have died due to lack of food and water on the boat while the engine broken down.
