“Faluda” is famously known as best summer treat in South-Asian region. Rohingya culture has adopted this “Pink summer drink” long ago and drink is served to the guests on special occasions.
The origins of Faluda goes back to Persia where a similar dessert “Faloodeh” was popular among the Persian population. The dessert came to India with the many Muslim merchants and dynasties that settled India and made it home.
Faluda is served as a dessert drink with rose syrup known as rooh afza, silky noodles, and milk topped with vanilla ice cream. Optionally garnished with jelly and nuts.
There are many variations of Faluda like Badam Faluda, Mango Faluda, Mixed Faluda, Shahi Faluda and so on. Each faludas has their own signature tastes.
