Local sources say the AA are celebrating their victory in Buthidaung town and allegedly killed many Rohingyas.
Prominent Rohingya activists Nay San Lwin have said that all Rohingya houses in downtown Buthidaung were burned to ashes by the AA last night as they celebrated in the streets.
Artillery strikes pounded the main town of Buthidaung as AA stepped up its attack on Buthidaung town, where mostly Rohingya civilians remain.
Since Friday morning, many Rohingyas have been killed and houses have been on fire. The house of former MP and rights activist Shwe Maung is also on fire.
Locals say Rohingyas have received messages asking them to evict Buthidaung.
The AA has taken part is mass killings of Rohingyas in many parts of Buthidaung.
An emergency meeting held by ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights held on Saturday have also confirmed killings by AA of innocent Rohingya civilians.
