On Saturday morning, approximately 35 media groups associated with their journalists paid a visit at Nyaung Chaung and Pa Din villages of Maungdaw Township. The source says, the group was led by Myanmar government authority along with local police.
During their visit, the journalists met a small group of returnees who came back from Bangladesh over the past few months. In January approximately 26 Rohingyas had returned to Myanmar. The media groups left for Sittwe after a very short visit to Maungdaw.
Amidst the media groups were Al-Jazeera English, BBC, RFA, MRTV, Frontier Myanmar, Black Night Media, MITV.
