Since September 23, more than 800 Rohingya have been displaced due to fighting between Junta and Arakan Army in Buthidaung, Arakan state, according to the report of the Development Media Group.

The villagers of Thabeik Taung (South) , Sein Nyet Pyin and Guitar Pyin have fled to other villages and to Buthidaung town due to fighting between Junta and AA.

On September 23, some 400 Rohingya people from Thabeik Taung (South) and Sein Nyet Pyin fled from their homes. “We are very disappointed for current situation in here. AA has been taking positions in Rohingya villages so that it has been happening right now,” said a Rohingya from Buthidaung.

On September 26, some 400 Rohingya from Gutar Pyin village also fled from their homes. “We cannot say and do anything, however this matter it’s happening due to AA. We have to flee from our villages,” he added.

On September 25 , around the 12 pm, the military fired heavy weapons toward Guda Pyin (Gudam Para) village in Buthidaung. The military argued that Arakan Army (AA) members are stationed in the village. As a result Rohingyas of Guda Pyin Village were forced to flee the village.

In addition, on September 23, a Rohingya was killed and six were severely injured in a clash between AA and military at Thabeik Taung village of Buthidaung. The military burned up the houses in the village which caused Rohingyas to flee the village considering life security.
