On 28 June, in the morning, five Rohingya were arrested by the Myanmar military force on the top of the Nawaday bridge checkpoint from Pyay district, the west side of the Bago region.
Out of the five Rohingya, four are men and one woman and two are residents of Dar Paing village, Sittwe Township, Arakan State.
The arrested five Rohingya have been brought to Yangon from the Ayeyarwaddy region with 12 lakhs as a car fee by the three car drivers.
Human traffickers are taking Rohingya from Bangladesh Rohingya Refugee camps to go to Malaysia for work through the roads and sea journey. The traffickers extort a large sum of money. The arrested persons are now in the custody of the Padaung Myo police station.
The Rohingya face perilous journeys, where women and girls are raped, man and children tortured, and beaten and many either dies, ends up in jail or are enslaved.
