Today (1 February) from 10 am to 4 pm, Myanmar nationals across the country including in Yangoon marked ‘silent strike’ in the protest of second anniversary of coup that kicked off Aung San Sukyi’s government.
Myanmar has been in turmoil since the military’s takeover and bloody crackdown on dissent, which has fueled fighting across parts of the country and crippled the economy.
Other hand, thousands of Myanmar nationals protested in front of the Myanmar embassy in Bangkok and Manila chanting the sign that read ‘Never kneel under military boots.
Furthermore, Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh squalid camp who have been in various hardships have not forgotten the second anniversary of the coup. They also marked the silent strike against the coup and its unlawful election.
According to the source, the military council of the coup has announced that it will take action against those who participated in the silent strike and those who incited to do this.
