According to a statement released on Tuesday, the Qatar Charity (QC) gave gas cylinders to 17,793 Rohingya refugees who were living on the Bangladeshi island of Bhasan Char and free medical assistance to 1,063 refugees in Cox’s Bazar. This is a component of QC’s ongoing humanitarian efforts for the benefits of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
While receiving medical attention at the health care facility created by QC at Chakmarkul Camp-21 in Cox’s Bazar, Qatar Charity’s aid team distributed cooking gas cylinders in coordination with the government authorities and UNHCR. The government thanked QC to support for the benefit of Rohingya refugees.
“We regularly receive support from Qatar Charity, which has a positive impact on our daily lives,” Azizur Rahman, a beneficiary, stated.
The health centre run by Qatar Charity provided me with pregnancy care and medical advice, which was a blessing for us as refugees, according to Rumana Begum.
In the camps of Cox’s Bazar, there are more than 950 000 Rohingya refugees. As part of a plan to decongest the camps, the Bangladeshi government relocated some refugees to Bhasan Char, the statement continued.
