On Friday (Nov 4) beginning this morning fierce fighting between Arakan Army (AA) and military council took place at three separate locations in Kyauktaw township. The heavy weapons hit Rohingya villages and three Rohingya people including a woman received severe injuries.
The details of those injured and other casualties are not yet known.
The fighting broke out after the Rakhine Army attacked two (2) military vehicles which were leaving Sittwe near Kyauktaw Township’s Sugar Seka Maowdun.
A villager from Baar Para of Kyauktaw told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that from the early morning sounds of firing heavy weapons and explosion were heard. During that time, some of the heavy weapons hit their village, where three Rohingyas, including a woman received severe injuries.
Those injured were sent to Kyauktaw hospital for treatment.
A tense situation is prevailing around the area.
