Maungdaw- A woman was arrested for allegedly speaking against a government collaborator in Hassu Rata, Maungdaw South.
Around 15 policemen came to her house on Thursday and took her to the nearby camp where she was interrogated and harassed for hours.
It was alleged she had spoken against the notorious collaborators of the village who have long been preying on the civilian populace with the backing of security forces.
She was later released as there was no evidence against her. The police have however said she was to report at the station whenever she was notified.
Local sources say the infamous pro regime gang in the area led by Saw Deya was behind the arrest and harassment of the women.
Her name has been withheld for privacy reasons.
