On Saturday, 10 foreign diplomats from Turkey, EU, USA, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands had a day-long trip at Bhashan Char where Rohingyas are being relocated gradually.

This was the first-ever visit to Bhashanchar by foreign Heads of Missions. The diplomats had open conversations with Rohingyas where they have witnessed the infrastructures and humanitarian projects undertaken by the Government of Bangladesh. The diplomats also had a chance to spend some time with the Rohingya children in an informal learning centre.

Till now 18,334 Rohingyas have been relocated to Bhashan Char while the host country has a plan to relocate about 100,000 Rohingyas to the island.
