13 Rohingyas arrested from Myanmar friendship road in Gumdhum

On Saturday (25 November) around 10:30 am Gumdhum police arrested 13 Rohingyas based on a tip while they were sitting in the convention hall room of the elite restaurant Ruchi House near Myanmar friendship road in Gundhum union of Naikkongchari police station. After their interrogation, the police of Ghumdhum investigation center handed over the Rohingya youths to the APBN police of respective camps.

SI Dharmajit of Ghumdhum Investigation Center said, 13 Rohingyas, detained from the convention hall of Ruchi House near Myanmar border have been handed over to ASI Mohammad Mizanur Rahman of 14 APBN Police Camp after interrogation.

Officer-in-charge OC Md. Abdul Mannan of Naikkongchari police station said that the arrested Rohingyas have been returned to their respective camps through APBN police.  Ghumdhum police operations continue to prevent the free movement of Rohingyas in the border areas.  Legal action will be taken against anyone who harbors Rohingyas.
