On Sunday (21 May) afternoon, 155 Rohingyas reached Bhasanchar in the 20th phase with three ships of the Navy. They left earlier in the afternoon from Chittagong Boat Club for Bhasanchar.
With this, the number of Rohingya in Bhasanchar shelter stood at 32,435 people.
914 Rohingyas were brought to Bhasanchar from Cox’s Bazar through Banauja Tuna, Banauja Whale and Banauja Penguin.
Among them, 155 people from 45 families voluntarily came to Bhasanchar, 633 people came to visit and 126 Rohingyas returned after visiting the East.
After disembarking from the ship on Sunday afternoon, the Rohingya were taken to the helipad adjacent to the navy pontoon.
Later from there they are transferred to live in different clusters by means of vehicles. Among them 42 are men, 58 women, and 55 children.
Humayan Kabir, officer-in-charge of Bhasanchar police station confirmed this information.
