On 4 September 2022, at around the 9 am, 28 Rohingya were arrested in Let Pandan city, west of Bago region, according to the RFA Burmese News.
The Rohingya were arrested at mile 89/ 6, when they were accompanied by two cars carrying corn to Yangon – Pyay highway at around 5pm.
The arrested 18 Rohingya men and 10 women were coming from Pathein – Monywa road by the car. When police stopped the cars to check, they found the Rohingya inside of the cars.
“I am surprised that why international community are silent for this matter. We are human being so we have human dignity ” said Md Harun a Rohingya Refugee from the Bangladesh.
No response has been made by the UN or any governments regarding this issue yet. The arrested Rohingya are kept at Let Pandan police station.
