3 NLD candidates kidnapped while campaigning for election

Yesterday, three candidates from Aung San Suu Kyi’s political party – National League for Democracy (NLD) were kidnapped in Taungup township. 

According to the Associated Press (AP), the following three members are:

1.  Min Aung who is a member of the Rakhine state parliament, 
2. Ni Ni May Myint who is a lower house member of the national parliament and 
3. Chit Chit Chaw, a candidate running for the National Upper House
