Yesterday, a delegation team from UK visited 3 Rohingya Refugee camps in Ukhiya led by the country’s Indo-Pacific Minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan. They reached Ukhiya around BDT 11 a.m. and headed directly for the camps.
Additional Commissioner of Refugee Relief and Repatriation Office Shamsud Douza Nayan said, Trevelyan first visited camp no – 8 in Ukhia and then went to extension camps no – 18 and 20.
The Minister talked about the activities of various organizations running in the camp. She also spoke to Rohingya women and children on various topics.
The other delegation members are Trevelyan’s personal assistant Shawma Mahapatra, British High Commissioner in Dhaka and Robert Chatterton Dickson and others.
