Buthidaung: The Arakan Army fired shock missiles at the 15th Military Headquarters in Buthidaung at around 10:30am on Saturday (November 5). The military responded with heavy artillery fire that hit Rohingya villages and killed a Rohingya school teacher on the spot. Apart from this, at least five others were seriously injured in Buthidaung.
The deceased has been identified as U Abu Nasir, son of Abdul Kayum resident of Tha Ya kun Ywa village of Buthidaung in Rakhine state, Myanmar. The details of five injured people and other casualties are yet to be known.
A Rohingya from Buthidaung told Rohingya Khobar (RK) that the artillery fire started around 10:30am and stopped at 12:00pm. Notably, most Rohingya civilians are losing their lives prematurely due to the fighting between the Rakhine insurgent group AA and the military.
Rohingyas are not only kept starving due to continued tension but also they are being killed by both AA and military in the name of these conflicts, another Rohingya said.
Both AA and military are targeting Rohingya elites and killing them. For which, Rohingyas still staying in the Arakan are highly anxious with their future in their ancestral Arakan state.
The villagers of Tha Ya Kun Ywa are fleeing to nearby villages in search of safety life.
