Buthidaung: On Sunday (16 October) Arakan Army rebels severely beat and kidnapped a Rohingya man while he was purchasing goods for his shop.
The abducted victim is Mohammed Siddique (60) an inhabitant of Hpa Yaung Chaung village in Buthidaung.
A Rohingya from the village who wanted not to be named told a Rohingya Khobor (RK) correspondent that five active members of rebel group AA led by alias Nga Mae who along with firearms and sharp weapons entered Hpa Yar Pyin Village and kidnapped Siddique after beating him severely, while he was purchasing goods for his shop after coming back from a hospital at around 11 am.
“AA members mugged and kidnapped Siddique after brutally beating by framing false allegation that Siddique has connection and buys ration for military,” another villager said by adding more that AA members took Siddique to Gangaw Myaing of Buthidaung.
Regarding the abduction of Siddique with fabricated allegation, Rohingyas in Rakhine state are highly worried.
