On Monday, almost 200 Rohingyas were sent back to their hometown – Rakhine State after a failed voyage attempt to flee away on last month. The Myanmar navy seized them and send them to the detention centre.
According to Dailymail.uk the group of 173 Rohingyas were rescued near Kawthaung on mid-December at sea by Myanmar’s navy and were sent back to Rakhine state. Later, 17 Rohingyas were taken to Thechaung camp, while the remaining 156 were transported to Ngakhuya camp in Maungdaw township.
These Rohingyas had set sail for Malaysia or Indonesia through a risky boat journey as the situation in Rakhine state being outrageous, especially after 2017’s genocidal campaign,
