On 10 September 2022 (Saturday) at afternoon three ambassadors to Bangladesh expressed their concern about the security and stability of the Rakhines in Myanmar at a seminar organized in a hotel in the capital.
The ambassadors of three countries assigned to Bangladesh have expressed fear that all the countries of the Indo-Pacific region may suffer in the future.
British High Commissioner Robert Dickson said, “The United Kingdom is already reducing funding to Myanmar due to allegations of terrorist activities.” High Commissioner of Malaysia Hayzna Hashim expressed solidarity with him.
Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki brought to notice the recent firing of mortar shells by the Arakan Army on the border of Bangladesh. He said that Bangladesh and other countries will suffer if they do not take a strong stand on this issue.
In a seminar organized by the Center for Indo-Pacific Affairs, security and international relations analysts highlighted Bangladesh’s security crisis regarding the Rohingyas.
