Arakan National Party hopes to win majority support in 2020 election in Rakhine State

Arakan National Party (ANP) is a leading political party in Arakan state. In 2014 the Arakan National Party (ANP) was formed by united Arakan League for Democracy party (ALD) and Rakhine Nationalities Development Party (RNDP)

In 2015 Myanmar general election, Arakan National Party (ANP) was third in position by winning 10 seats out of 224 in House of Nationalities (Upper House/Amyotha Hluttaw), 12 seats out of 440 seats in House of Representatives (Lower House/Pyithu Hluttaw) and 18 out of the 47 seats in the Rakhine state Hluttaw

The lists of candidates of ANP are 12 candidates for Upper House, 18 candidates for the Lower House, 36 candidates for state or regional parliament and 2 candidates for ethnic affairs minister according to ANP’s announcement on 05/08/2020.
