The reports about the Arakha Army (AA) installing sentinels in front of the mosque in Dargafara, Maungdaw, and blocking Rohingya worshipers have been confirmed by multiple sources. The AA has imposed a curfew from 7 PM to 6 AM in response to escalating violence and communal tensions in the region. This curfew restricts Rohingya Muslims from performing their early evening, night, and morning prayers in the mosque, limiting them to only two prayer sessions out of the usual five daily prayers.
The imposition of the curfew and the blocking of worshipers are part of broader measures by the AA in the wake of ongoing conflicts and efforts to control various regions in Rakhine State, including Buthidaung and Maungdaw. These actions are a response to perceived threats from both junta forces and Muslim armed groups, which the AA claims are collaborating against them.
