On 4 September 2022 (Sunday) morning the Senior Camp in Charge (CiC) Mr. Mostafizur Rahman brutally assaulted a refugee woman and injured her severely while he was accompanied by Assistant CiC and Armed Police Battalion (APBn) team while he conducted a shop vandalising operation at camp 21 of Ukhiya.
The victim is M.B. (23) resident of camp 21 in Ukhiya refugee camp.
A refugee who declined to be named told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that during the vandalising operation the shop owners ran away leaving the matterials infront of M’s house and the CiC Mostafizur Rahman asked the victim to show her data sheet and beat her inhumanely after fully destroying the scattered materials in front of her house.
On the other hand It also has been reported that in camp 26, the members of APBn-16 beat severely one S.U. (55) a refugee of block B on the same day while he was selling meat with bucket.
Refugees claim that the oppression of law enforcement agencies become common and usual thing in camps, as international organization working in camps remain silent considering their project duration, despite reports.
