Diplomats World, the sole diplomatic publication in Bangladesh, will host a critical roundtable conference focusing on the “Prospect of Rohingya Representation Under Prevailing Circumstances in Myanmar and Way Forward.” The Foreign Service Academy, Baily Road, Dhaka will host the event on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11:30 AM.
This roundtable aims to address the critical issues surrounding Rohingya representation in Myanmar and explore potential pathways for their future. It is an essential gathering for stakeholders involved in regional and global security, politics, and human rights.
Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, MP, the former Foreign Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Bangladesh (GoB), will chair the conference. His participation underscores the importance of this dialogue, bringing his vast experience and insights to the forefront of the discussion.
Lt Gen (Retd) Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, PhD, former Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division and current Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office, will moderate the event. His leadership and expertise will guide the conversation, ensuring productive and forward-thinking outcomes.
Dr. Hla Myint, the Foreign Secretary of both the Arakan Rohingya National Organisation and the Arakan Rohingya National Alliance, will be the conference’s keynote speaker.
