A fire broke out this afternoon at approximately 2:15 PM in Block C06 of Rohingya Refugee Camp 09, following the explosion of a solar battery. The incident resulted in partial burning of two shelters, though quick action by the local community prevented the fire from spreading further. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

This event highlights the ongoing fire hazards posed by electrical and solar-powered devices in the densely populated refugee camps. The incident underscores the urgent need for enhanced fire safety awareness, improved preventive measures, and robust emergency response mechanisms to protect vulnerable communities.
