Yesterday, The United States’ former Ambassador, Bill Richardson went to Myanmar on a private humanitarian mission that will focus on pandemic aid.
Richardson arrived in Myanmar on Monday and today he met with Myanmar Junta Chief General Min Aung Hlaing along with senior junta officials in Naypyitaw.
He discussed the delivery of Covid-19 vaccines and humanitarian aid with the Junta Chief.
To a news media, Richardson said, “In coordination with our contacts in Myanmar, we are visiting the country to discuss pathways for the humanitarian delivery of COVID-19 vaccines, medical supplies, and other public health needs.”
