New Delhi: On Wednesday (26 October) a garage owner beat five Rohingya women and minors by alleging that the Rohingya children broke a car’s glass while playing near the garage at city’s Madanpur Khadar area. The police however, have stated that the there was no “Rohingya connection” the incident.
It has been learnt that who broke the glass and garage owners are from same community and there is no standpoint of Rohingya in connection with the incident, according to an official.
A woman, who lives beside the alleged garage, said that some men had beaten and attacked five women, including her and a child, in the refugee camp. “A woman had also sustained major injuries and she is in hospital. The men from the garage had an issue with children playing near their workshop and this is not the first time they had misbehaved,” she alleged.
