Hindu refugees shall be returned on the first phase of repatriation

Myanmar has asked for 400 Hindu refugees to repatriate in the recent tripartite meeting with China and Bangladesh. The country has urged that verified refugees including the Hindus will be returned in the first phase of repatriations after the coronavirus pandemic subsides.

Hindu religious leaders in Myanmar told RFA that, they have asked both governments to agree and said, “the refugees suffer in unsafe conditions and are at high risk of abuse.”
