According to Bangladesh police, ARSA manages the smuggling of weapons and drugs into and out of the camp. There are about 27 ARSA cells operating in the Rohingya camp.
Police have recovered 22 firearms, 100 rounds of ammunition, 4 mines, and a few explosives in January.
In February, the police recovered five single-barreled guns, one LG, forty rifle rounds, four shotgun cartridges, three homemade grenades, and other equipment.
Law enforcement agencies stepped up their attempts to apprehend guns dealers after much gathering intelligence, surveillance and recon.
Last week in April, they took five ARSA members carrying firearms into custody. From them they retrieved two domestic weapons, five branded handguns, and eighteen rounds of ammunition.
