Yesterday, Four Rohingya men who are involved in human trafficking has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). They have been living illegally in Meerut, India for a while.
The four has been identified as Hafiz Shafiq alias Shamiullah, Azizul Rahman alias Aziz, Mufizur Rehman alias Mufiz and Mohammad Ismail. According to the Indian police, they are involved in syndicate human trafficking and had access to create forged government documents such as Aadhaar and voter cards and even passports.
The group also used to arrange jobs for Rohingyas in different business establishments and charged a commission on their salary, said police. The Indian police also investigating if the arrested persons were also involved in smuggling.
After 2017’s genocidal intent by Myanmar military, Rohingya people started to migrate in nearby countries like Bangladesh, India and Malaysia. A little hope left for this nation as their country is not ready to accept them infact they mention Rohingyas as “Bengali”.
