Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen urged more cooperation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to ensure the safe, sustainable and dignified return of the millions of Rohingya citizens who took refuge in Bangladesh in the face of genocide and torture to return to their home country, Myanmar.
A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday (July 10) said that the Minister made this call while presenting her credentials to the newly appointed head of the ICRC delegation to Bangladesh Agnes Dhur at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister appreciated the role of ICRC during the Covid-19 pandemic in Bangladesh.
