Myanmar troops clash with Arakan Army in Rakhine state; first since the coup

On 9 November around 11 am, Myanmar junta troops have clashed with the Arakan Army (AA) in Arakan state, north of Maungdaw. It was confirmed by the spokesman of AA.

The spokesman could not confirm the casualty as of the reporting.

In 2017, the Myanmar military conducted a notorious operation which the UN described as amounting to genocide.
