Cox’s Bazar, October 23, 2025 — The United Council of Rohang (UCR), a prominent Rohingya civil society organization, held an Oath of Office Ceremony for its newly elected executive members in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday, marking a symbolic moment of unity and renewal for the community.
The event began with prayers in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Each new executive member took an oath before Allah to uphold the constitution, principles, and goals of the UCR, pledging to serve the Rohingya people with honesty, humility, and dedication.

Commitment to Honesty and Service
During the ceremony, the members vowed to prioritize the interests of the Rohingya nation above personal gain and to perform their duties with fairness, transparency, and sincerity. They also committed to rejecting corruption and division while promoting peace, justice, and progress for all Rohingya—both in refugee camps and across the global diaspora.
A Call for Unity and Justice
UCR leaders emphasized the need for solidarity within the Rohingya community as they continue their struggle for rights, dignity, and recognition. The organization reaffirmed its mission to stand for every Rohingya, regardless of social or political background, and to strengthen collective advocacy for justice and equality.
A Message of Hope
As the ceremony concluded, participants offered prayers for Allah’s guidance and blessings. The oath was described as not merely a formal promise but a renewal of trust between the Council and the Rohingya people.
“This oath reminds us that Allah is witness over our deeds,” said one of the newly sworn-in members.
The ceremony marked a renewed chapter for the United Council of Rohang as it seeks to lead with integrity and faith, working toward unity, justice, and self-determination for all Rohingya.
