On Sunday (October 16) The parliamentary committee made a recommendation to use pressure for immediate repatriation and rehabilitation of the Rohingyas to mitigate the risks to internal law and order, and environmental risks posed by the arrival of the displaced Rohingyas.
This recommendation was made in the 28th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Disaster Management and Relief Ministry held at Sangsad Bhavan, where Committee President AB Tajul Islam presided over the meeting.
In the meeting, it was also recommended to take necessary measures to make visible the construction of bridges and culverts allocated in the budget before the arrival of monsoon.
The activities of Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief in repatriation and rehabilitation of displaced Rohingyas were discussed in detail. Apart from this, there were discussions and decisions about what to do to deal with fire incidents, flood risk, lightning and cyclones.
