RAB arrested two commanders of Arkan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA). They were arrested on Thursday (October 26) after conducting a raid on unfathomable hill adjacent to the Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Salam Chowdhury, officer of law and media wing of RAB-15, gave this information.
Two top commanders of ARSA were arrested in the operation. At that time, foreign weapons and bullets were recovered from them. Along with that, a torture cell of ARSA was also found in the operation.
One of those arrested is Osman alias Salman, one of ARSA’s top commanders, head of the Ulama body and torture cell.
RAB could not immediately reveal the identity of the other person arrested.
The Additional Superintendent of Police said that the arrested Osman was directly involved in several sensational and discussed murders in the area adjacent to the Rohingya camp, including the murder of an officer of the DGFI.
