During an operation started from Sunday night to till Monday morning at camp 7 in Ukhiya, RAB has arrested two members of the new militant organization ‘Jamatul Ansar Phil Hindal Sharqiya’. At this time domestic and foreign weapons and ammunition were seized from them.
The arrested are Shura member and head of military branch Ranbir and his associate bomb expert Bashar.
RAB-15 Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Abu Salam Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
A Rohingya leader from same camp said under anonymity that as RAB conducted operation at night, the general refugees are in confusion with the held militants who have never been seen around the area.
