Schools have been closed in Rohingya refugee camps since 19th March 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are very happy to see the children of the host community continuing their education online and we are hoping if our children could get any such alternative options to pursue their education,” wished Mohammed Hamid, a refugee man.
A refugee student, Anis of Hleda makeshift camp 26 said to Rohingya Khobor that he was a regular student at the Learning centre operated by Save the Children International. Now it has been more than six months that he is out of studies and he has no options to study anywhere else.
“I am looking forward when our learning centre will be restarted”, Anis said. “Though my hut is small, I continually study at home what my teachers taught me at school,” he added.
“We are looking toward the moment when our children can return to school”, said Fatema, a refugee parent from the same camp.
