Around 30 Rohingyas who were apprehended in Ayeyarwady region while attempting to escape from the war in Rakhine to Malaysia and Indonesia have now been released. The detainees hail from various townships, including Sittwe, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Kyawktaw, and others. Unfortunately, despite their release, the individuals find themselves in a precarious situation, as they are not able to return to the Rakhine State.
Presently, these Rohingyas remain confined in Maubin Prison within Ayeyarwady region. The absence of financial resources for transportation has left them stranded, raising concerns about their well-being and future.
The release of these Rohingyas, coupled with the challenges they continue to face, highlights the ongoing struggles and complexities surrounding the Rohingya crisis.
