A man has been stabbed with a bayonet by Hlun Htein in Akyab.
On Tuesday,  Lokman Hakim (55) son of Thanda Miah of Daybian camp was returning home after closing shop at around 6pm when Hlun Htein intercepted him and stabbed him in the left eye. The reasons for the assault are unclear but it is common for security forces to attack Rohingya Muslims.

At present, Hakim needs an entire medical team to undergo an eye surgery which is difficult as Rohingya Muslims are not allowed access to medical care. Hakim and approximately 150,000 Rohingya Muslims remain stranded in the IDP camps of Central Arakan where living conditions have been described by the international media as “the worst in the world”.
