A Rohingya girl was arrested by the Arakan Army in Buthidaung Township on April 5, according to local sources.
The incident took place at around 3:25 p.m. in Maung Gyi Taung village. The girl was identified as Nur Begum, 17, daughter of Solim.
“She was taken in the afternoon, and people in the village became very worried after seeing this,” a local resident told Rohingya Khobor.
Another villager said the reason for the arrest remains unclear. “We don’t know why she was taken, and her family is very anxious about her safety,” the resident said.
A third source said the incident has created fear among residents. “There is fear in the community, and people are concerned about what might happen next,” the source said.
The information was shared through mobile communication, and further details about her condition and the reason for her detention are not yet known.
Community members expressed concern over her safety and said they hope for her release.
