On Saturday (January 7) around 7 pm, some masked men stabbed a Rohingya head Majhi to death at Jamtali camp 15, in Ukhiya camp.
The deceased is Rashid Ahmed. He was the main leader of Camp No. 15.
A Rohingya from Jamtali camp under the condition anonymity said that some masked terrorists equipped with shrp weapons attacked on Rashid and stabbed him to death. The attackers left the scene when near by people came forward to rescue Rafiq.
On information police appeared on the spot and recovered the body. And sent the body to Cox’s Bazar morgue for autopsy.
The eye witnesses believe that the attackers were members of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA).
Another Rohingya from same camp said that members of ARSA used camp and Block Majhis in trading seductive pill (Yaba). But since few months, camp Majhis are not supporting ARSA in their illegal activities. Hence, Majhis in camps became the killing target of ARSA.
The Rohingyas in Bangladesh camps demand the immediate arrest of ARSA members and those who are involved with them, as ARSA is not only killing the Majhis and creating terror around the camp but also it is tarnishing the image of Rohingya ethnic all over the world.
