On Tuesday (29 November) at around 5 am, some miscreants shot and stabbed a Rohingya leader (Majee) to death at camp 12 of Palongkhali in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar.
The deceased is Shahab Uddin (35) son of Monir Ahmed of block H/14 of that camp.
The family source said that early in the morning, 30 unidentified armed miscreants suddenly attacked and stabbed Shahab Uddin in the chest and shot him in the stomach. He died on the spot. Having the information, the police came on the spot and recovered the body. The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
So far, no one knows the reason why Shahab Uddin was killed.
Another Rohingya from Nayapara camp told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that on Thursday early morning, some of the mountain terrors equipped with firearms and sharp weapons attacked one Mohammad Rafiq of C block in Nayapara camp and shot to his mouth. Later, refugees who were close by rescued Rafiq and rushed him to camp hospital in critical condition.
Late night on Wednesday, the hilly terrorists kidnapped a Rohingya youth from E block, while he was returning home after watching FIFA Qatar world cup-2022 (Argentina vs Poland) match.
The general Rohingya refugees are under hostage of armed terrorist group. And they are feeling extremely insecure amidst squalid refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.
Other Rohingya are hopeful that the Law Enforcement Agencies deployed in camps will take effective action against the terrorists group before further deterioration of the camp situation.
