A Rohingya man was arrested by the Arakan Army at around 2:00 PM on April 10 in Maung Gyi Taung village in Buthidaung Township, according to local sources. The reason for the arrest and the man’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Residents said the man was taken from the village during the afternoon. No further details about his identity or condition were immediately available.
A local resident told Rohingya Khobor, “We saw the man being taken away, but we do not know why they arrested him. People here are feeling worried.”
Another villager said the incident has increased fear in the area. “This kind of incident is creating fear among the community. We are not feeling safe,” the resident said.
No official statement has been released regarding the arrest.
Residents said the situation in the area remains tense, with growing concern over safety and security.
