Rakhine region: On Thursday (6 October) evening a Rohingya village administrator was shot to dethd at Phu Kaung Chaung village in Buthidaung.
The deceased is Ali Ahmed (42) son of Rashid Ahmed of Phu Kaung Chaung village in Buthidaung.
The locals said that Abul Hashim, an active member of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) resides in same village, with his two companions and weapons entered Ali Ahmed’s house and shot him dead.
The deceased’s family members said that they managed to identify Abul Hashim who is a member of ARSA. The killers left the place soon after completing their killing mission.
Another Rohingya from the village under anonymity told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that the remaining Rohingyas in Rakhine state are under hostage of ARSA while the Rohingyas have been facing variety of unsayable difficulties from Arakan Army and military clashes for months.
