A prayer meeting for cyclone (Mocha) victims in Rakhine state was organized at Balukhali camp-9 of Ukhiya, where in Dr Younus, Vice Chairman of Arakan Rohingya National Alliance (ARNA) reminded the present Rohingyas to strive for a dignified living.
On 19 June, Arakan Rohingya National Alliance (ARNA) organized the meeting titled ‘Condolence, Solidarity and prayer for the families of victims of cyclone Mocha in Arakan’, where about 1500 Rohingyas were present from various camps of Cox’s Bazar.
Many of Rohingya activists including Dr Younus, Vice Chairman of ARNA addressed the meeting.
While addressing, Dr Younus lamented on the Rohingya situation around the world and advised his fellow people to refrain from the activities that tarnish the Rohingya’s image. He also stressed all the Rohingya people to be united under the banner of ARNA and its credible leadership.
Dr Younus thanked Bangladesh Government and its people for sheltering the Rohingyas on humanitarian ground. He even urged the refugees to respect the rule and regulation of Bangladesh.
Finally, the meeting was put an end through a prayer service where where a fervent appeal was made to Almighty Allah for helping the victims of Cyclone Mocha and Rohingya refugees who are living a miserable life.
