RSO will not betray national interest and will continue to fight

Statement (01/2024) 2024, On the 13th of August BURMA

Currently, it has been observed that various false propagandas are being spread continuously using social media to mislead the Rohingya people. We, RSO, have issued this letter so that the Rohingya civilians will not listen to these conspiracies. Rohingya civilians could refrain from following the conspiracies.
The withdrawal of RSO from Maungdaw town is neither for fearing nor enabling to fight the enemy. The terrorist AA insurgents do not attack our soldiers head-on, but relentlessly attack residential areas with drones that caused killing innocent civilians, injuring hundreds and damaging their homes over and over. On the other hand, some nefarious puppets of national traitors such as those involved in Yaba trafficking and human trafficking are being used to spread rumors to terrorize civilians. Because of it, on August 5th, thousands of innocent people gathered on the banks of the Naf River to flee their homes to the other side of Bangladesh, about 300 people lost their lives and hundreds were injured by attacking with drones and shock missiles.
In addition, some Rohingya refugees who have been granted asylum in third countries, without understanding the actual situation on the ground, started propaganda by spreading sort of news of false allegations against the RSO through their social networks which become supportive to panic the people.
On the same ground, some organizations that have been deceiving the Rohingya people for a long time are jealous of RSO’s popularity and are working to discredit the reputation of RSO by carefully spreading the news circulating on social networks among the people. Similarly, local thugs are also using the name of RSO to rob people that create wariness at the people.
In fact, the RSO has left Maungdaw as a change of strategy to reduce the relentless targeting and killing of such innocent civilians. RSO is to ensure that it will never betray the national interest. It will continue to resist and fight back the enemy. The enemy’s movements are being closely monitored well.
