On Friday, a dead body of a Rohingya young man was found by herdsman inside a cyclone center at Akyab. The dead was later identified as Kyaw Maung (22) son of Dudu Miya. Nobody could exactly tell when and why he was murdered and the identity of the attackers remain a mystery. His body was left on the first floor of the cyclone center. The source said, he went missing for four days.
Earlier, on 1st May, another man named Hanif (48) son of Goni Miya was killed on the same cyclone center and his body was left in the fields.
Murder of Rohingya civilians are common in this area where Buddhist nationalists backed by state forces maintain a strong presence. The Rohingya victims are randomly chosen, with the intention of spreading terror among the beleaguered community.
