There have been allegations of shootings and vandalism by miscreants against ordinary Rohingya. The incident resulted in the shooting of four Rohingya individuals.
The injured include Md. Ibrahim, son of Nadir Hossain from Camp-4 in Ukhia; Nur Hossain, son of Abu Samaa; Md. Selim, son of Abul Khair; and Md. Junaid, son of Abdur Rahim.
The incident occurred at noon on Wednesday in the Camp-4 area of Ukhia’s refugee camp. The injured have accused members of the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) of being responsible for the attack.
According to camp sources, for the past three days, members of the RSO have been attempting to forcibly take ordinary Rohingya from various places, including the Lambashia area of the camp, back to Rakhine in Myanmar.
When the Rohingya refused to go, RSO members allegedly opened fire and vandalized their shelters. RSO gunfire injured four ordinary Rohingya on Wednesday in Camp 4.
The miscreants’ gunfire has injured four Rohingya, according to Md. Iqbal, commander of the 14th Armed Police Battalion (Additional DIG). They are undergoing medical treatment. We are conducting operations to apprehend the culprits.”
