Maungdaw- Tensions continued in the restive village tract of Ludaing in Maungdaw North after joint forces once again surrounded the area on Saturday.
Meanwhile 11 Rohingyas who were arrested from the area on Friday were taken to Nga Khura police station. However, their exact location at present is not known. There are confirmed reports that they are not in the Nga Khura camp on Saturday.
One source alleged they are facing inhumane torture in one of the notorious camps in Kawa Bil or the town area.
During the clearance operation, many who were taken to these camps had their eyes gouged out.
Torture of Rohingya prisoners is common resulting in the maiming and death of hundreds since 2012.
Incidentally Ludaing was one of the villages targeted during the recent clearance operation, resulting in the deaths of dozens of civilians.
