On Friday, Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Arakan Army (AA) has announced in a statement that, the war with Myanmar Military will be ceased till the end of this year.
The spokesperson for the AA, Khine Thuka said in an interview, “On our sides, we will not launch any offensive against the Burmese military. We will cease all offensives.” He further added “Because this is the time we are holding peace talks, we think it’s best to stop all the fighting. That’s why we are doing what we can. We expect it is helpful to build trust between the two sides.”
The spokesperson blamed the Myanmar Military for a recent eruption in the fighting. The alliance will maintain their right to defend themselves if the Tatmadaw attacks their troops or camps, or conducts military operations in their territories.
